My Convention 2010 Swaps

I still haven’t taken pictures of the swaps I received back, but here are the three swaps that I took with me. I participated in two organized swaps – a baby swap and an “odd holiday” swap. Then I made 11 snowflake cards for random swapping. I came home with over 50 new ideas!

My baby swap was a re-freshening of the baby announcement I made for my son back in 2006. I updated it to use the Big Shot, some new punches, and my current favorite monkey from “Fox and Friends”.

For my “odd holiday” I chose International Friendship Day and made butterfly lip balm holders. I can’t claim to be the originator of this idea – I saw something similar on a blog somewhere – but I did have fun figuring out the dimensions and how to build the box.

Finally, the night before I left for Convention I decided that I need a few general swaps. I’d seen a snowflake card at one of my fellow demonstrator’s houses and fell in love with it so I whipped out a few sheets of cardstock and created this sparkly snowflake card. You can’t tell from the photo but it really glimmers with the shimmery white cardstock base and Dazzling Diamonds glitter in the window behind the snowflake.

I think you are one of my new favorite bookmarked blogs!
