Lego Birthday

One of my son’s friends had a Lego-themed birthday party recently. For a gift, I made Lego minifig crayons by melting broken crayons and reshaping them in a silicone minifig ice cube tray. Easy and fun! To package the crayons, I put them in a small cello bag tied with some of the 1/8″ Taffeta ribbon. I used my Big Shot and Box #2 die to make the Daffodil Delight box which held the crayons and a cool lego removal tool that I found at our local toy shoppe. A few 3/4″ circles completed the look for the box.

I freehand cut a few rectangles out of Old Olive, Daffodil Delight, and Pacific Point for the birthday card and then used 3/4″ and 1/2″ circles popped up with Stampin’ Dimensionals to give them a more 3-D appearance. The number six is from the Timeless Type Sizzlet die set and the circle behind it is from the 1-1/4″ circle punch. I stamped “Happy Birthday” from the Family Phrases stamp set in Pacific Point ink, punched it out with the Word Window Punch, and then mounted it on a piece punched with the Modern Label punch.

The birthday boy seemed to enjoy his gifts and I had fun making a super easy coordinating card and packaging!
