“I Dig You” Valentine

Who says Valentines have to be pink or red? I made these “I Dig You” shovel Valentines for my preschooler to hand out this year and I think the yellow color is perfect! He stamped his name on the back with a personalized name stamp since he’s still learning how to write his name and he balked at having to sign twenty Valentines. I think this may be a first for me – they are all done and ready to go and it’s barely February!

Shovel Valentine made with Stampin' Up! supplies

Stamps: I Dig You, Loads of Love, Something Sweet
Ink: Real Red Classic Ink; Real Red, Tangerine Tango, Daffodil Delight, and Basic Black Stampin’ Write Markers
Paper: Whisper White Cardstock
Extras: 3/4″ Circle Punch, Small Cello Bags, Mini Glue Dots, Sizzix Big Shot, Two Tags Bigz Die, 5/8″ Satin Ribbon, SNAIL adhesive

Love these!! Where did you find just the shovels?

Thanks! The shovels were from a seller on Ebay – Jean’s Plastics, bluebirdjeanmoore. When I ordered a couple weeks ago they were being overwhelmed with orders, but they had great customer service and were able to switch out my original colors (Valentine-y pink/white/red which were backordered) with these yellow ones which were in stock and worked even better for my project.

  • This is too stinkin’ cute!! Wish I had one young enough so I can make some of these!! And I love the yellow, goes with the dump truck!! Great job and I am sure he will be the hit with all his classmates!!

I will be featuring this Valentine on My Crafty Picks #51 with a link back to your blog on 2-5-12. Make sure to stop by to check out all the picks and to pick up your blog badge to display on your blog for being featured!!

If you wish to decline please email me by responding to this comment to let me know.
