Teacher Gift

The end of the school year has arrived and I wanted to give my guy’s teachers a little thank you. We decided to make my favorite pop-top cans filled with candy and a gift card. These are so easy to make. Simply open your fruit can from the bottom using a safety can opener, eat the fruit, and then wash out the can. Then you fill it with your goodies (in our case candy and a gift card) and glue the bottom of the can back on using Crystal Effects. We decorated the cans with some of the retiring Big Top Birthday Designer Series Paper, some retiring (sniff!) red 1/4″ grosgrain ribbon, and a Daffodil Delight circle punched out with the 2-1/2″ circle punch.

Of course, the candies had to be decorated, too, so we used some Big Top Birthday scraps to wrap around Hershey’s Miniatures and used the apple from the It’s a Wrap set to stamp on labels which were then wrapped around Hershey’s Nuggets.

STAMPS: It’s A Wrap, Every Little Bit
INKS: Basic Black, Real Red
PAPER: Big Top Birthday DSP, Daffodil Delight
ACCESSORIES: Real Red 1/4″ Grosgrain Ribbon, Sticky Strip, Glue Dots, SNAIL Adhesive, Mailing Labels, 1″ circle punch, 2-1/2″ circle punch
