First Day of School Teacher Gift

My eldest started 1st grade today. Hooray – we made it through the long summer together! He wanted to take his new teacher a “first day of school” gift, so we got her a few school supplies (stapler, tape dispenser and pencil sharpener) plus I made my favorite school treat – a candy pencil. I . . . → Read More: First Day of School Teacher Gift

Happy St. Patrick’s Day!

I have a confession. I bought the Petite Purse die just because I had a St. Patrick’s Day idea pop into my head and I wanted to make it. One day a vision of a rainbow and a gold-filled bucket came to me and I just had to order the die, and then sit down . . . → Read More: Happy St. Patrick’s Day!

Be Mine Treat Bag

The boys enjoy their school so much and have gotten to know just about every teacher there. They wanted to give Valentines to all the teachers, so we made some of my favorite holiday candy in heart shapes and wrapped them up with a tag. A simple, but hopefully, fun treat.

Candy Roll

I’m playing catchup this week and as I crawl out from under my mountain of crafting supplies, I thought I’d share some of the projects I made in the past few weeks.

This is a Pinterest-inspired candy roll. I upcycled a cardboard tube with DSP, filled it with candy, and wrapped it with a . . . → Read More: Candy Roll

Treats for Boo! – Upcycled Toilet Paper Roll

At first, using toilet paper rolls in crafts sort of gave me the heeby-jeebies. But then Pinterest wore me down. After seeing pages upon pages of pins with these plentiful cardboard tubes I gave in. I made a toilet paper craft. And I’m in love!

I also tried to resist making anything Halloween themed . . . → Read More: Treats for Boo! – Upcycled Toilet Paper Roll

Rotten

I have had a little bag of Easter candy hidden away for a friend for months. On many occasions I’ve resisted the temptation to eat that sweet, candy-coated egg-shaped goodness myself.

I wasn’t exactly sure when I’d give it to her, but I knew that chance summertime meetings would not be a good time since . . . → Read More: Rotten

August Class Project – Candy Pencil

I’ve made these chocolate candy pencils before, but they were so cute I thought I’d make them again for August’s class. They make a great “first day of school” present for teachers.

Stamps: Perfectly Preserved Ink: Real Red, Garden Green, Basic Black Paper: Whisper White, Daffodil Delight, Pretty in Pink, Garden Green cardstocks . . . → Read More: August Class Project – Candy Pencil

Teacher Gift

The end of the school year has arrived and I wanted to give my guy’s teachers a little thank you. We decided to make my favorite pop-top cans filled with candy and a gift card. These are so easy to make. Simply open your fruit can from the bottom using a safety can opener, eat . . . → Read More: Teacher Gift

Tricky Leprechaun

Last night my eldest and I set a trap for a leprechaun seeing as it was Saint Patrick’s Day eve. He drew a rainbow, punched some golden arrows with the retired Stampin’ Up! arrow punch to lead the path, and had me write “Leprechauns this way” on a sign on top of the trap. Underneath . . . → Read More: Tricky Leprechaun

More Teacher Valentines

I have such respect for my son’s preschool teachers. They must have been blessed with a lot of patience! The Valentine’s Day party was today at school so I was finally able to send the shovels off, which has cleared a nice space on my desk. I made sure there were enough shovel valentines so . . . → Read More: More Teacher Valentines
