Swap Sunday – Convention Haul

When you attend a Stampin’ Up! event, swapping will most likely be a part of your day(s). When you swap, you make a bunch of identical stamped items and you trade them with other demonstrators. They get your ideas and you get theirs. It’s not mandatory by any means, but it’s something most stampers . . . → Read More: Swap Sunday – Convention Haul

Sand Buckets

On nice days after preschool, we hang out on the playground for a little while playing with friends. While the kids love the play equipment, they also really enjoy scooping up rocks from the ground. Most of the playground time is peaceful, but they’ve been fighting over the sole shovel on the playground and I’m . . . → Read More: Sand Buckets

Baby Blocks!

I used my Big Shot to make these adorable soft baby blocks for a baby shower gift. I was able to cut out the fabric for all these blocks in just three passes of the Big Shot! I made the blocks extra tactile by stuffing them with bells, a squeaker, and crinkly paper. I hope . . . → Read More: Baby Blocks!

Bear Bag

2010 is the year of the handmade for me. I’m trying to make all of my gifts this year and I’d love it if the packaging were reusable as well. I found this wonderful idea for the Build-A-Bear Big Shot dies on Selene Kempton’s blog and I *had* to make them for gift bags. They . . . → Read More: Bear Bag

Snow Fever!

I made the mistake of sharing with my son that we would be going to visit my parents in the next couple of months. And telling him that they have snow. Oh! My! Goodness! Snow!!! That’s all he can talk about. Unfortunately, he doesn’t have a good grasp of time and all he can talk . . . → Read More: Snow Fever!

Collapsible Birthday Box

I combined some new-to-me techniques to make this very cool gift box. For the sparkly cake, I used the “frosting” technique which was described in the monthly magazine Stampin’ Up! sends to all their demonstrators. I love how they take care of us and always make sure we are learning new things! If you’ve ever . . . → Read More: Collapsible Birthday Box

2010!

It’s a new year and time for an updated blog.

I’m clearing out my stamp room and fixin’ to get stamp crazy this evening. I have plans to make a calendar and create my holiday thank yous. Hope I can get them both done tonight!

Preschool Gift

My son is in his first year of preschool and I wanted to make a little gift for him to give to his friends for Christmas. Since one of his favorite activities is playing with playdough, I decided on these little goodie bags. I wrapped a strip of Designer Series Paper around a small tub . . . → Read More: Preschool Gift

Cupcake Gift Card

One of my customers wanted a gift certificate to give to a friend, and I was happy to oblige. But I couldn’t just give a plain gift certificate, so I whipped out my Big Shot and made a snazzy, sparkly gift certificate holder for her. I finally broke out my Sticky Pages and ran them . . . → Read More: Cupcake Gift Card
